Reading trading parterner agreement during runtime

Hi All,

We have scenario as Proxy to EDI(AS2). I have created trading partner agreement in B2B cockpit and maintained the EDI parameters. In the AS2 receiver adapter, I have added the modules TPMContentAccessModule and GenericConverterModule and used the parameter tpm.enable as "true" in the module configuration. On testing the interface end to end, the EDI parameter is not taken from the trading partner agreement and default values used.

Please let me know if the configuration is correct.

Modules used:

TPMContentAccessModule

GenericConverterModule

Module configuration:

tpm.enable = "true"

Trading Partner Agreement:

EDI Parameter

edifact.copy = true

edifact.indent = true

IBP Excel Addin (EPM)

Checking in the many blogs and discussions already existing, I cannot see namely a thread about Excel ADDIN concern. This topic worth a specific category as this is one of the main selling point of IBP and guess what, first questions I get from customer are a lot around ADDIN.

Understanding that the underlying component of this addin is EPM with a few restrictions, Good thing is probably to share around EPM for SCM IBP, tips and tricks.

So my Question for tonight is:

Someone from a consulting company has shown my customer how to drill-in dynamically in the XL Addin thru the dimensions, something like double clicking country shows the customers below. I am afraid this demo was done in EPM full mode and not with the IBP Addin only.

Do you know whether I can find a document, to help assessing what I can do in EPM in the context of IBP

Thank to you already. Daniel

“Digital Customer Innovation” at the International Utilities Conference

$

0

The theme of this year's International Utilities Conference is 'Creating Value in the Digital Energy Network' >>LINK

Utilities globally understand the pressing need to involve their customers as a key partner in the Digital Energy Network. They also understand the enormous opportunity a deep and frequent engagement with their customers presents. However, utilities are also asking how they can compete against digitally-mature market entrants from the telecommunications, automotive, or retail industry. And they are asking how they can compete for the talent of a younger workforce that has grown up in the digital era of consumerism.

I like how one colleague summarized the state of the utilities industry: “The age of disruptive monetization”. I like this statement since it sums up nicely what utilities are facing. Disruption by competition and technology while requiring to increase revenue. However, it also leads right away to a set of concrete To-Dos so utilities can not only mimic the new market entrants but use their strengths to “disrupt the disruptors”.

Just three aspects of this new age:

  1. Look around you and look in the mirror.
We are all customers. We are constantly connected. We are researching, consuming, transacting constantly. And we do not make a difference depending on the type of product and service we desire. Heck, we surf the web on the mobile phone while watching our favorite show on TV!

  2. Utilities are turning from a commodity provider to a provider of turnkey services.
This is absolutely the right direction for utilities since they are fulfilling the unmet need of the new energy consumer that almost no other provider can fulfill. From my own experience, it is hard to “get solar”, make the home smarter, more energy efficient, cheaper to run. Heck, most people do not even understand the rate they are paying for electricity, gas or water! A huge opportunity for utilities to shine and help people “get stuff”.

  3. It is a fast-changing marketplace out there.
People are adding customer-owned devices and sensors like home security products or distributed generation like solar to the digital energy network. Utilities love having all this data. However, it also creates high expectations from customers for highly personalized service since now the utility should have deep profile of the individual customer, right?
Do you live up to this challenge or is data “your silent killer”?
Do you know when to engage with the customer? What are your customers’ “Moments that matter”?
Can you facilitate between the customer and the 3rd party provider for home security products you are using?

So many questions. But also so many answers!

I am excited about our “Digital Customer Innovation” track.  First of all, I want to thank our speakers that will present how they extract value from innovating in customer profiling and personalization, in the call center, in self-service and why a well-functioning commerce site is becoming so important so fast. In the end, a customer experience is only well designed when it delivers on the outcome the customer expected. Which customer wants to order again when the experience was sub-par previously?

Additionally, we at SAP want to offer you our experience that we gained from helping hundreds of retail, consumer goods, telecommunication and media companies digitally transform their business. These industries rank high when it comes to customer experience and the rate of innovation.

It is time to bring these best practices and proven tools like the SAP Hybris solution set to the Utilities industry.

See you in April in The Hague!

VL06P,VL06C and VL06G

Hi all,

The following 3 transactions- VL06P,VL06C and VL06G are used in their order for Post Goods Issue and than a Delivery Note or Invoice is generated. In recent months, there has been an increase in sales orders and consignment orders and my work load is overwhelming. The amount of time it takes to process each sales order by using the 3 transactions is significant. Is there an easier way? Are there any latest software out there that could save me time in processing sales orders?

Thank You and i appreciate your valuable contribution.

BOBJ secWINAD SSO questions

$

Hello,

We have been using BOBJ since version 4.0 and are currently on 4.1 SP03. We had originally setup SSO for BOBJ reports in the SAP Portal (uses AD auth) using our backend SAP ABAP ECC system since all users using the BOBJ reports existed there. We also have LDAP auth enabled but mainly use that for the project and support teams to directly login to BOBJ (clients, etc). We have a new requirement where two new reports are going to be accessed by a group of Non-SAP users who do not login to the Portal. For this we do not want to create these additional 100+ users in the ECC systems in order to save on licensing. I looked into setting up AD authentication and tried it, but I am able to login to BOE\CMC & BOE\BI url's using the Windows AD option but it doesn't auto login the user. Another question is if we get the Windows AD to auto login would it be enough to get the BOBJ reports in the Portal to SSO (not using the SAP ABAP backend)?

To summarize:

1. How can I get the Windows AD SSO to auto login the user when accessing the CMC or BI\Opendoc reports.

2. Will WinAD SSO with the SAP portal or do I still need the ABAP backend using the Mysapsso ticket.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Figure 1: Source: SAP

Agenda is above

2fig.jpg

Figure 2: Source: SAP

Extensibility is a broad spectrum, shown in Figure 2

UI adaptations are the focus today – custom fields and tables

3fig.jpg

Figure 3: Source: SAP

On premise – IT is a major player, cloud, it is line of business.  The customers expect to do everything with their system

On the cloud, the system is upgraded continuously

Update cycle on premise is slow; cloud is fast

In cloud – only loosely coupled extensions are allowed; only those that survive the upgrade

On premise – the customer can use modifications

4fig.jpg

Figure 4: Source: SAP

Loosely coupled extensions are decoupled from the core; HCP is not focus of this session

You can still have ABAP and ABAP in Eclipse; in S4 you have more

5fig.jpg

Figure 5: Source: SAP

“Time to value” is key. Design tools for S4 so business users and experts can change the S4 system

Figure 5 shows the basic stack of S4 – database table, application has core data services (data base view for code pushdown to database) and on top is the OData service, then you have reports, UI, e-mail

Create new custom fields and maintain custom logic.

Easier entry point into the way of developing

6fig.jpg

Figure 6: Source: SAP

Figure 6 covers Lifecycle management

On premise – nothing changes; still use classical CTS to create transport requests

Public cloud- transport of objects with Fiori based UI

Figure 7: Source: SAP

Figure 7 shows the ABAP Web Editor where you can do ABAP coding in a Web based editor

See the recording for a demo.  In the demo we saw that CDS views that act as queries, and "you don’t need a separate BW system" and “BW is not bad”  - still use, but for just reporting in one system you don’t need BW

Question & Answer:

Q: What is technically behind the business object implementation?

A: behind the scenes, creating a database table, OData service on top of CDS view, BOPF

Q: BRF+ is used to model business logic?

A: Not yet, under discussion

Q: is this badi Fiori app, only for cloud edition?

A: in principle available for both editions; note following cloud first and then to on premise

Q: Which version?

See his blog Extensibility of S/4HANA – Helpful Links | SCN

Q: Will debugging be available in Cloud edition?

A: No

Q: ABAP in Eclipse – connect to Cloud?

A: Behind the scenes, same code; see white paper to build add-ons

Cloud – access via cloud editor; partners could build add-ons

Thank you to the speakers Thomas and Georg and thank you Chris and Peter for moderating

BOBI Platform 4.1 SP3 Database file system layout recommendations

$

I have read thru lots of Business Objects documentation.  My issue is that we are doing a fresh installation of SAP Business Objects BI Platform 4.1 SP3 on Linux 6.x /Oracle 11.2.x.  The problem is there is no documentation that details how the layout of the database should be for when installation the Oracle database.  I have read the PAM and all it list is the below recommended disk space requirements:

Recommended Disk Space Requirements

SAP BusinessObjects BI (server installer):

• 14 GB for default installation with English language only installed

• 16 GB for default installation with all languages installed

This is causing some concern as we have installed BOBI Platform 4.1 SP3 on another system and in doing so created the oracle database under a single mount point called /data/oracle/xxx/xxx. I have been asked to correct this on the next install.

Typically, good database administrators would separate the /oracle/<sid>/sapdata'x' file system from the /oracle/<sid>/oraarch file systems and such.

How can I find out how big should I create the /oracle/<sid>/sapdata, /oracle/<sid>/oraarch, /oracle/<sid>/origlogA, and /oracle/<sid>/mirrglogA file system if we chose to separate them? Does anyone know what are the SAP recommended layout and sizes of the BOBI Platform 4.1 SP3 file systems for the database?

Fiori My Benefits App - one day less in start and end dates

$

My Benefits App shows the Benefits plan start and end date is one day less than the actual date in the infotype. I see the same date problem in all benefits plans. It shows fine in SAP and also in ESS screens.

In the My Benefits Apps It shows Participation Period: 12/31/2014 - 12/30/9999 instead of 01/01/2015 - 12/31/9999.

OData output looks ok to me. Please see the below OData screen shot. I don't know whether it is related to system settings or UI code.

I also see benefits plan document/attachment appear twice in the Fiori app. It shows only one document in the ESS screens, but Fiori app it shows the document twice.

Please see the dates issue and document/attachment issue in the attached screen shot.

I have installed UIX01EAP SP03 in the Gateway 7.40 and installed SRA007 SP04 in the ECC6.0.

I appreciate your help to fix this issue.

SAP TAO: Adding Iterations

$

I am working with SAP TAO v 3.0.5.1, HP ALM 12.02. The area I'm having problems with is successfully executing a TAO script with 2 iterations. I've added a 2nd row of data to my data sheet and added an iteration to my consolidated script within test plan (ALM), referencing the data row as '2' for the second iteration.

When I execute the script in the lab, the first execution runs just fine, but I'm encountering a "Launch and Login error" at the beginning of the 2nd iteration.

* ERROR DETECTED *

Error: 13

Description: Type mismatch

Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error

This appears to be more of a UFT/ VBScript issue than a TAO issue as far as I can see. I checked the formatting on the 2nd row of my data sheet, and it exactly matches that of the row above, which was successfully executed.

Any inputs or insights are appreciated. Thanks!

Production order : status DLV and indicator "Delivery completed"

$

0

You may sometimes see the DLV status is set, but indicator "delivery completed" is not set.  Wondering when the status DLV and indicator "delivery completed" is set?   Here I'll explain several scenarios and some notes to correct related errors.

Normally when GR is posted with movement type 101 for the order header material, the delivered quantity in production order(AFPO-WEMNG) should be updated.  When the delivered quantity equals planned quantity, the status DLV and indicator "Delivery completed" (AFPO-ELIKZ) should be set. However, sometimes they may not be in sync.

  1. Goods receipt quantity and value is wrong in production order compared with the actual GR material document.  This is considered as an inconsistency.  The following note contains a report to correct it.
1352231 - Correction: Goods receipt quantity and value in order
  2. The following post explains when DLV is set considering the delivery tolerance.
Change in DLV status in Production/Process order with Different Quantities
  3. The logic for setting the indicator 'Final delivery' and DLV status is as follows (no matter it is processing with online transactions or BAPI):
You post a confirmation for a production order / process order. A goods receipt is linked to the confirmation. During GR posting during the confirmation process, a quantity check is executed. A check is made here whether the delivered quantity is larger than the quantity which results due to a possibly predefined underdelivery tolerance. If the delivered quantity is larger, the final delivery and the delivery status is set.
1857198 - Consulting: Status DLV in production order/process order
  4. When goods receipt is updated in the update program or through a background job as a decoupled goods movement (it can be configured in t-code OPKC and OPK4, see note 208477 which explains process control in confirmation), and you post order confirmation via BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT or CO_MES_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT, the indicator "NO_MORE_GR" in table GOODSMOVEMENTS can force setting the indicator "Delivery completed".  (Bear in mind the automatic determination logic described in point 3 still applies here.)

This logic is introduced by note 1763953.

1763953 - Decoupled goods receipt: Delivery completed indicator

Note 2069821 corrects an error that the system wrongly resests the delivery completed indicator when decoupled goods movement is posted subsequently.

2069821 - Decoupled goods receipt resets "Delivery Completed" indicator

Another correction note related to the field NO_MOR_GR:
    1886037 - BAPI confirmation data proposal: NO_MORE_GR
  5. Status DLV is not set, although quantity is delivered completely and indicator "delivery completed" is set.
1918802 - No status DLV (Delivered) is set in production order header though the quantity has been delivered completely
  6. A modification note to influence system design:
315370 - MB31: Delivery completed default in GR

The modification made in this note may not only influence MB31, but also CO11N, BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT.  Setting different valus to the parameter will get different behavior.  See detailed explanation in the note.
  7. Customizing settings:
OP00   -  Indicator "automatic goods receipt" for operation control keys
OPKP  -  Indicator "automatic goods receipt" for production scheduling profile
OMCD -  Default "delivery completed" indicator in plant level
  8. Special cases:
  • Process: Confirm orders in CO11N with final confirmation, delete goods receipt manually in CO11N
    CO11N.png
Result :DLV and delivery completed indicator is set although no goods receipt is posted.
    CO03.png
  • Process : Final confirmation with qty = 0
    CO11N-qty 0.png
Result : DLV and delivery completed indicator is set although no goods receipt is posted.
  • Process: cancel the final confirmation with qty=0 in CO13
    CO13.png
Result : DLV status is not removed and indicator "delivery completed" is still set
Reason:569254 - Status DLV remains after reversal of confirmation w/ qty 0
Workaround : Reset the indicator "delivery completed" manually in CO02.  The status DLV will also be cleared after saving.
  • Process : post final or automatic final order confirmation without entering table "GOODSMOVEMENTS" by BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT, posted qty = planned qty.
Result : DLV and delivery completed indicator is set and goods receipt is posted
  • Process : post order confirmation with auto GR, but 101 movement has error and is posted to COGI
Result : DLV and delivery completed indicator is NOT set until the COGI entry is posted
Reason:67485 - CO11/COGI: "Final issue" indicator set incorrectly

Hi Guys - I wonder if you could please help. I use SAP Business By Design and look after HR Data. I have looked around and cannot seem to find any option for this. I know within reports you can set conditions, exceptions and automate reports, Is there something for the individual employee record?

Change DDLB values on select in web-ui

I have a tricky requirement in my project. In the web-ui, I have created a dropdown list box.

1) Here I have multiple values like "XYZ-100-GBP", "ABC-150-USD", etc. Their respective keys are "100", "150",etc.

2) Suppose if I select (click) "XYZ-100-GBP", I want only "100" to be written in the same dropdown field.

3) When I open the dropdown list again, all the values must remain the same ("XYZ-100-GBP", "ABC-150-USD", etc).

Can anyone please help me on this?

Live to Live Migration From BO Prod To BO Test

Hi,

We are trying to migrate BO Prod to BO Test Server with live 2 live.

SAP Notes suggest using LCM CLI. I have read many SAP Notes about it but I have some questions.

I have found SAP Notes ;

1634962 - BI4 - How to import or export a LifeCycle Manager BIAR file using command line utility

1873184 - How to promote all content under a given folder using LCM command line interface.

1969259 - LCM CLI Master Note - How to promote thousands of objects across BI4 environments

SAP Notes say that create export_properties and import_properties in C Driver in your disk. Should we do this Test System or Production System?

Which script should I write firstly to migrate the Prod BO content to Test BO lively? ("action = export" or "action = promote" , in code )

Can I use below select statement to migrate all content in Prod to Test without condition?

Multiple SAP Netweaver gateway ports

Hello Gateway Guru,

We have a requirement of using a single SAP NW gateway connecting to DEV & QA vi OData services.

We created two clients in gateway, 100 for DEV and 200 for QA and successfully and have successfully executed the URL gateway http://gateway.local:8000/sap/opu/odata/demo_service/?$format=xml. However, we cannot tell which backend is coming from since both are using the same gateway server. Is there a way we configure multiple gateway ports so the backend URL can be easily be identified? if not, what other options beside adding another QA gateway server to the mix?

Thanks for your time,

Destination Category in CFOP determination. (Brazil)

Hello Experts,

We have created a PO, where 'Vendor' address and 'Delivery' address / 'Plant' address  has different Region.

So ideally we expect, when Invoices and hence Nota Fiscals are posted, CFOP should be determined for Destination category as 'Different State'.

But we observe, in this case, CFOP is determined based on Destination category 'Same State'.

Could you help me understand:

How system identifies destination category? Is it based of region/s in vendor / plant addresses?

Pls let me know.

TIA.

Dhananjay
